Texas Wedding Recap

I’ve finally found a moment to write up a recap on my sister’s beautiful Texas wedding and our week away in San Antonio!

We spent the week visiting with family, pulling together last minute wedding details and eating great Texas food… {maybe a little too much Texas food…I will need to work out 24/7 to make up for all the grub we had}.

We were able to squeeze in a couple tourist attractions the River Walk and the Alamo {pictured below}.

The bridal party celebrating during the bachelorette party. And no, I did not get one photo where we were all looking at the camera and smiling… so this will have to do 🙂

My mom, dad and I made these chalkboard signs with burlap & tulle flowers for the wedding. They turned out pretty cute. Tutorials to come 😉

Claire was the flower girl. During the rehearsal she ran about wherever she pleased, so I was a little nervous that she wouldn’t be able to sit up on the stage during the wedding. But she was so intrigued by her basket full of petals, she spent the entire time dumping them out and picking them all up again she barely made a peep. I was quite impressed.

I didn’t get any photos of the church and the ceremony, well, obviously because I was in the wedding, but I did capture the gorgeous reception.

Cake made by my sister’s sweet friend Monique.

Oh this chocolate fountain made me laugh 🙂 it was quite windy towards the end of the night and it was spraying chocolate in all directions.

The lovely couple enjoying their first dance as husband and wife!

Cutting the cake!

Claire and I enjoying the reception.

At the end of the night we all the grabbed lanterns that were on the tables to light up their getaway path! Such a cute idea.

These two cuties were tired by the end of the night, so they hitched a ride around in the decoration cart 😉 Wish I would have gotten more photos of them together. They became quite the little friends throughout the week and Claire hasn’t stopped asking “Where’s Jack?” since.

It was a beautiful wedding for two beautiful people! Love you both!
