Monster Cookies {recipe}

Today I am sharing a family favorite…Monster Cookies! Colin’s family introduced these to me and they are amazing. And addictive {confession: I had around 10 of these cookies right out of the oven….and probably 10 cookies worth of dough before they went in the oven}. I’m not really sure why they are called monster cookies but my guess would be because they turn you into a monster cookie eating machine.



  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 pound brown sugar
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp corn syrup
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 12 oz peanut butter {JIF Creamy is the best}
  • 4 1/2 cups oatmeal {1-minute quick oats work best}
  • 3-4 oz each of chocolate chips and M&Ms


  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Mix in large bowl in order given
  3. Drop by large tablespoonfuls
  4. Bake 12 minutes. Do not over bake!

These cookies do freeze well, and can be eaten right out of the freezer {that’s how my husband likes them} but I prefer them right out of the oven. The recipe above is really only a quarter of the original recipe…but I don’t know anyone who would have a bowl large enough to mix up the full recipe. Enjoy!
