Clean Chocolate Bark {Recipe}

1 Flares 1 Flares ×

Today I am sharing one of my favorite clean recipes for chocolate. When I need a sweet treat I usually whip up a batch of these {or I go for these clean no-bake cookies I shared a couple weeks ago}. I love this one because it is gluten free, dairy free, nut free {unless you add nuts as a topping like I did}. You can also adjust the amount of honey based on how sweet you want your chocolate. Personally, I like to add only 1/2 cup of honey instead of the 3/4 cup the recipe calls for. One warning, since the base of these is coconut oil they melt VERY easily. I store them and eat them right out of the freezer!

  • 3/4 cup coconut oil {be sure to use the kind that is solid at room temp}
  • 3/4 cup raw cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup raw honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • {Optional Toppings} sliced almonds, pecans, dried cranberries, cherries, coconut flakes, sea salt- add whatever you like here

  1. Melt coconut oil in a saucepan.
  2. Remove from heat and whisk in, cocoa powder, honey and vanilla until well mixed
  3. Pour mixture over a lined baking sheet.
  4. Sprinkle toppings on top
  5. Place baking sheet in freezer for 15-20 minutes or until chocolate is completely solid
  6. Break into pieces and store in a freezer Ziplock bag.
  7. Enjoy!
